Garibaldi Resources Corp.'s Black Gold project consists of 11 mineral claims covering approximately 274 hectares located 25 kilometres north of Grand forks in south-eastern B.C. near the Canada/U.S. border with Washington State, 450 kilometres east of Vancouver, B.C. The property hosts several exposures of a massive black granite (gabbro) deposit, which was investigated by previous management for its possible development as a dimensional stone quarry. Garibaldi's new management group retained this legacy asset after securing an independent assessment indicating that the size of the deposit combined with the unique and attractive appearance of the stone had potential commercial value worthy of further evaluation.
